Niubike imports, services and builds premium quality electric bikes, trikes and other vehicles.
We provide excellent products and services backed up by knowledge and experience.
The products
include electric bicycles; electric tricycles; conversion kits for bikes, trikes and recumbents;
and a unique range of customised products tailored for Australian bicycle market.
We also supply
a diverse range of replacement Lithium Electric Vehicle Batteries and accessories.
Converting Australian Mail Bikes, in conjunction with Electric Vehicles Pty. Ltd., to electric
power assistance has been one of our major projects thus allowing Australia Post to re allocate
delivery rounds by expanding their workforce catchments and replacing petrol powered vehicles.
This is expected to cut carbon dioxide-equivalent emissions by more than 1000 tonnes each year.
Since 2012, Niubike has participated in the RACV Energy Breakthrough event at Maryborough in country Victoria, both as an exhibitor and supplier of electric motor power systems for the Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV) race.
This event provides opportunities for students, teachers, parents and local industry to work together to examine and use the latest technology while considering its impact on the environment.
As an active member of the cycling community, Niubike participates in a number of events such as
the Ride to Work Day
in Melbourne.
Our products have been included in the electric bicycle review by Bicycle Network’s Ride On
magazine.
The Director of Niubike, Steve Brown, has a background in mechanical and electronic engineering
and has been working in the electric power assist bicycle industry for the past five years.
Apart from his own business and contract projects with others, he also provides training to
the electric bicycles mechanics studying at North Melbourne Institute of TAFE.
Being an enthusiastic cyclist, Steve participates in both on-road and off-road riding. He is an active
member of the Middle Distance Bike Club, Victoria, and has served three terms as President of the Club.
In his spare time, Steve also enjoys passing on his knowledge and passion of cycling to the local community.
Recently, we introduced the Superlite series of EBike, Trikes and Conversion Kit to fill the need for
custom built electric bikes in the market.
In November 2011, we fitted conversion kits to
Greenspeed Recumbent Trike for two disabled
riders, which proved the quality of our product and services (see Testimonials Page).
Also, a recent
business trip in China secured our Australian distributorship for a leading Chinese manufacturer of
Lithium Batteries.
As committed environmentalists and
enthusiastic cyclists, we see electric motor assisted bikes as an extension to conventional push bicycles.
They enable a wider range of people to experience the pleasure of cycling and make commuting by bicycles
a far more appealing alternative to the motor car. Through Niubike’s products and services, our ambition
is to replace the heavy carbon footprint with a lightweight bicycle tyre-track.
